After his studies, he served as a veterinary doctor during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Obudu Cattle Ranch. He later joined the National Veterinary Research Institute, Jos, as a research officer.

In 1999, Rev. Wilson Badejo succeeded Rev. G.O. Farounbi as the General Overseer of the Foursquare Church of Nigeria. He also fostered a strong relationship with the international body, Foursquare Mission International (FMI).
