In 2004, El Mafrex decided to embark on a solo career and launched the “El MAFREX” project. His songs, such as “Rhythm in the Air” and “Esio Mkpo,” received significant airplay on Nigerian radio and television stations. “Rhythm in the Air” even won the song of the month on Cosmo FM, Enugu.

One of El Mafrex’s notable achievements took place on December 21, 2013, when he headlined the 6th edition of the Akwa Ibom State Government Christmas Carol. This event, featuring international gospel artists like Israel Houghton and South African Gospel Legend Lionel Peterson, took place at the Uyo Township Stadium and was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the reggae praise session led by El Mafrex.
